Dear Friends,
Hello from Elgin, South Carolina! I trust this email finds you doing well. Debbie and I continue to enjoy our six wonderful grandkids who love their GMa and GPa. It is wonderful to invest in their lives and it is great to have sons and daughters-in-law who are ardent at training them in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. Debbie and I are doing well. She has signed up for another year to teach fifth-graders Social Studies at Ben Lippen School in Columbia, SC. I continue to do the ministry God has called me to, a ministry of evangelism and discipleship.
I cannot thank each of you enough for the eternal and temporal investment you are making in this ministry. Your prayers are of the utmost importance and I ask that you pray for Debbie and me as regularly as possible. We are not the only ones who benefit from your prayers. When we pray, it is not so that we can get what we want from God. Rather, prayer offers us fellowship with the Lord. As we align our hearts with the Lord, He grants us the desires of our hearts. Prayer is one of the most important aspects of our lives as followers of the Lord Jesus. As with any relationship, if we don’t spend time with that person the relationship will suffer. In James 4:8 we read, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” Prayer is important because it enables us to see life from God's perspective. Your eternal impact through your prayers for us does not go unnoticed. We are extremely thankful for your impact. Please continue to pray for us as we do our best to follow His leading in our lives.
In addition, thank you for your investment in this ministry through your financial giving. I continue to be amazed that the Lord has largely used you to help me fulfill my calling. We are grateful for your sensitivity to His leading in your life. Since August 2018 the Lord has on average provided the same amount that I made in my last year at Ben Lippen. I am humbled by His graciousness and His faithfulness through you. I am continually reminded that if it were not for His faithfulness we would have no faith. It is truly His faithfulness that gives birth to our faith daily.
Presently, I am leading four Bible studies throughout each week and I continue to speak every Sunday at a different church in the southeast. Three times a week I write a blog and record a podcast of each blog. To date I have written 1,581 blogs and have recorded 1,496 podcasts. We have had 138,531 hits on the blog and we have had 27,692 views of the podcasts. In the last twelve months we have witnessed three different individuals come to faith in the Lord Jesus and have discipled twelve men. Currently, Debbie and I are working with two different couples helping them in their marriages.
Finally, I am extremely humbled by your involvement in this ministry! Debbie and I are encouraged by your faithfulness to the Lord. Please know that I pray for you all regularly and we covet your prayers as we continue to pursue the Lord and His call on our lives. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you all! (Philippians 1:3). Please reach out to me if I can be of any assistance to you.
Sincerely,
Bobby Young
