Dear Friends,
I sit here at my desk on a Sunday evening and it is already June 27, 2021. It seems like yesterday when I was just graduating from High School. Time goes by real fast when our lives are meaningful and full of purpose. I still pinch myself because I am loving what I am doing, and it is so varied.
Since the last time that I communicated with you, a lot has happened. A thirty-two year old man named Jeffrey came into God's family, and I have started discipling two of my former students at Ben Lippen. And, the opportunities with our neighbors have greatly increased since we have focused more on praying for them. In fact, our twelve year old neighbor named Ty recently made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus.
I can not begin to express to you the utter joy that I have when I arrive upon these many opportunities to share the faith with the lost and those who are growing in their faith in the God of the Bible. And, you play a huge role in all of this. As you know, on average about $1200 comes in each month through my speaking opportunities. And, the other $2800 comes from you all who have been prompted by the Lord to share in this ministry. But, I value your prayers the most. God moves in response to your prayers, so please continue to lift Debbie and me up to the Father. We desperately need your involvement in this way, even more so than the amount of money the Lord lays on your hearts to contribute.
And now, the most important part, the prayer items. Please continue to pray for our neighbors who do not know the Lord Jesus. Jack and Sue who moved here from New York. The Lord is gradually giving us opportunities to spend time with this precious couple. In fact, Jack's mother recently passed away and it is my prayer that this will stimulate him to inquire more about eternity. Pray the Lord will stir Jack and Sue's hearts regarding eternity.
Then there is Ryan who is a policeman. He knows the truth, I just haven't seen much interest in the things of the Lord. I tell him all the time that I am praying for him, especially in his line of work. Pray the Lord works in Ryan's heart. Pray also for his daily protection in this dangerous world.
Then there is Scott and Kim. The nicest people you would ever want to meet, but I'm afraid they do not know the Lord personally. Pray the eyes of their hearts are opened to the reality of the Lord Jesus.
Then, there is Micjhael and his wife. She may be a believer but Michael isn't in the kingdom yet. There have been several opportunities for us to be a blessing to this wonderful couple and we have had some great discussions with them. In fact, Father's Day morning they asked me about my dad. On the heels of that question I was able to share my testimony with them.
Then, there is Tony and his son Aaron. I went to one of Aaron's baseball games recently and that has opened the door with these two a little bit more. Pray for a deepening friendship with this man and his son.
Also, pray for Ty and his mom and dad. I'm not sure if the dad,Tony, and the mom, Fashawn, know the Lord, but Ty made a profession just a few days ago. Pray that I will be able to teach him well.
Also, pray for a dear friend that I have been working with for about eleven years. His name is Ian. Pray the Lord will give him a Damascus Road experience. Ian is so smart and skeptical. I believe it is going to take something dramatic to get Ian to the place where he chooses to believe in the Lord Jesus.
Oh, and pray for these two former students. Their names are Matt and Daniel. Pray that the Lord speaks deeply into their lives through me. Pray that their hunger and thirst for the Lord will grow exponentially with each passing day.
Finally, I blog and create a podcast each day. You can check the blog out at byoungministry . Also, you can check out the podcast at my YouTube channel at BYoung Ministry
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the help that you are providing me. Thank you also that you value me enough to pray and give. It is my prayer the Lord blesses you richly for your sacrifice!
